+ About the work
Marie’s work explores our relationship to bodies and their representation, through processes of objectification, fragmentation, magnification and accumulation.
She has demonstrated a particular interest in addressing gender stereotypes through visceral, genuine and an often humorous approach.
She considers the photograph as object and has previously explored the similarities between the surface of the skin and the surface of the photographic print. Marie often mixes mythological references with autobiographical elements and intimacy is a recurring theme in her practice.
