Yushi Li: “For me photography is a powerful tool for observing the male representation as an erotic subject." In Yushi Li's new work THE FEAST, inside, the artist continues to pose men as a way of referencing and subverting the conventions of art history. In this way, she gives licence to herself - and the viewer - to luxuriate in the pleasure of looking.

This work is produced through a collaboration with artist Steph Wilson.

Yushi Li is a Chinese artist based in London. Having recently finished her MA studies at the Royal College of Art she has won accolades for her ingeniously produced work. Li was part of the Bloomberg New Contemporaries exhibition in 2018 and received the Royal Photography Society Hundred Heroines Award.
